Colombiere Health Care Center is a Jesuit continuing health care facility. We are first and foremost a religious community providing health care and housing for sick or senior Jesuit brothers and priests. We (are able to) offer independent and assisted living, Long-Term Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care as needed in a comfortable, expansive country setting.
The focus of Health Care at Colombiere Center is Person Centered Care. We are committed to the philosophy and practice of providing excellent care respecting the dignity of each Jesuit.
Good health care is but one of a number of operations and activities integral to its functioning. Other services include physical and recreational therapy, social activities, promoting hobbies, and interacting with fellow Jesuits, their families, and friends. Daily mass, retreats, small group discussions and other social and spiritual components Jesuits a well-rounded, fulfilled life at Colombiere Center.
Colombiere Center also provides for the needs of both aging and infirm Jesuits of the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus. Such care may include the need to oversee I.V., antibiotics, parental nutrition, the care of urinary catheters, and many other skilled services.
Health Care focuses on the individual—providing physical, emotional, and mental health care.
The staff includes registered nurses, nurse aides, physical therapists, and an activities director. In addition, a doctor, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, podiatry, dermatology, haircutting and other services available as needed.
